Mountain Manor Oak Lodge Residence

Mountain Manor turned out to be a terrific recommendation. I was in Cape Town for a mix of business and leisure, and its position worked well for both: roughly ten minutes from Table Mountain and about the same from the Waterfront. After spending a good amount of time in the city, I think it’s a great base for sightseeing or work. The room was spacious and furnished with quiet, understated style. I used the pool and the simple but useful workout area every day. Staff were consistently attentive to my comfort, and by the second day they knew me and greeted me warmly. I also enjoyed the other guests, who struck me as adventurous, thoughtful, intelligent, and fairly affluent. Cape Town’s landscape and mix of cultures had drawn me there in the first place, and the city seems close to a real boom. I only wish I could give this place more than five stars. It could easily become my home away from home.

Michelle, the owner, is lovely and really makes you feel at home. The rooms are enchanting, and the garden is wonderfully peaceful. Such a picturesque spot in the middle of Cape Town, definitely worth staying over.

A great base for getting to Cape Town’s attractions, shops, and restaurants. This guest house feels like a home away from home, whether you’re travelling for work or a holiday. The staff are warm and helpful, and the attention to detail stood out. Michelle, the owner, is very hands on too.
