Noah House

Our room was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed breakfast on one morning. There are several restaurants nearby, and the area seemed reasonable, though we were warned not to walk back after dark. We left early for sightseeing tours on two mornings, but they made little effort to help with the breakfasts we missed. There’s just one coffee bar for all the guests instead of coffee in each room, and one morning there was no coffee available. After 5 PM, no one was available to help when we ran out of drinking water or needed more tissues, so we had to wait until the next day. The biggest problem was being charged twice for the first night and airport pickup, which had already been paid in advance by the person who booked our stay. They seemed to have no record of that, which is hard to understand. After several weeks of calls, the duplicate payments were refunded. We’d really looked forward to our three night stay, but it’s hard to recommend this place.

The lengthy check in was a pain, though the hotel manager was lovely. It’s a beautiful building in a great location, and you can see the care put into the restoration. But the experience didn’t justify the price. The photos make it look more like a boutique hotel than it felt in reality, which was closer to a BnB. The shared house setup also meant less privacy than we wanted. The bathroom is spacious but has no bath, and the room amenities were very basic for this price, with no mini fridge. After a day at the wineries, we had nowhere to put a bottle except the shared fridge. There was a disappointing gap between the look and the actual experience. It didn’t feel as luxurious as the price suggests, and Gorgeous George Hotel was much better value.

The room was beautifully designed, with an incredibly comfortable bed, and the food was great. From the moment we arrived at NOAH house, the staff were warm and attentive, and every detail felt taken care of. Our recent stay was nothing short of perfect. Everything exceeded expectations, and I’m looking forward to returning. Highly recommend!

The location is excellent, the hotel is convenient, and the space is beautifully designed. My stay at Noah was enjoyable, and I think the hotel has a lot of potential. The bedroom was cosy but smaller than I expected, with little room to unpack. The bench along the wall helped, and I appreciated having a rack for trousers and collared shirts. The toilet wasn’t fully secured to the wall, which made it awkward to use. My room seemed to be near the staff communal area, so staff conversations could be heard during the day. The courtyard between my room and the main hotel also seemed to be used for storing cleaning equipment. For a premium property, it would be nicer if the route to breakfast looked more polished and clear of those items. It sometimes took effort to find staff. A couple of times I had to go into the kitchen to get someone’s attention, so perhaps a bell or signal in the café area would help. At arrival, I had trouble finding someone at reception, and the first comment, “oh, you haven’t paid yet,” felt abrupt. A warmer greeting would make a better first impression. I hope this feedback helps. With a few small changes to the guest experience and room arrangements, the hotel could be truly outstanding.
