Noordhoek Village Hotel

I drove all the way from Kirstenhof for your food, and then my order never arrived. The service was terrible. They wouldn’t send it with an uber or ask a manager to bring it to me. I won’t come back as a customer. Keep the voucher you offered, I won’t use it. If I could, I’d give you -10 stars.

I only wish we’d stayed longer. Everyone was so friendly and obliging, and the place is in a glorious spot near the beach, in a small village that feels like a surprise. The local information Jodi sent before we arrived was invaluable. There’s a restaurant for every taste, and Cafe Roux was good enough that we went back several times. Breakfast, included with our stay, was absolutely delicious. I’m looking forward to coming back and staying longer next time.

The anniversary bottle of red wine in our room was a thoughtful touch. We also liked the location, friendly staff and very comfortable beds. The rooms were clean, though ours felt a bit stale and could use a revamp. The aircon in our unit spat ice during the night. Breakfast was disappointing: we asked for over easy eggs each morning, but they came out seriously overdone every time. On the last day the toast was brittle and burnt at the edges, and the mushrooms were undercooked. The buffet could use a better way to serve jam from the jars than using your own table knife, perhaps small packs like the butter. There was grated cheese only on the first day, with no serving utensil, so you had to use your fingers. That first day there also wasn’t a knife for cutting the cheese blocks. Coffee changed from day to day and was weak on our last morning. It would also be good to look into shade for the car port parking areas.

A nice hotel for a family holiday. The staff are very kind, there are connecting rooms, and there’s a good restaurant with other food options nearby. I’d definitely recommend it.
