Oceana Palms Luxury Guest House

I stayed in the top room of the guest house and had a stunning view over False Bay. It’s close to great restaurants and the quiet seaside town of Gordon's bay, and the sea views are unobstructed. The staff were friendly and very helpful, which made the stay even more pleasant. I’ll definitely book again.

It’s a beautiful place and affordable, and I don’t have other negative feedback about the venue. The breakfast timing was the problem for my team: it only starts at 09:00, which is too late when you’re travelling for work. They were late for work because no breakfast pack was offered. One was provided the next day after I asked, but packs should always be available for business travellers.

This beautiful guesthouse overlooks Gordons Bay, and breakfast is included. It was tasty and a good way to start the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even helping me unhook and store my bike trailer. Guests have access to a gym, pool table, indoor swimming pool and honesty bar, and there’s plenty of parking. I’d definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

The rooms were clean and the surroundings beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful, but our last night here didn’t feel like the luxury stay we’d hoped for. I’d booked this four-star guesthouse for my mum before she headed home, hoping to surprise her. Breakfast was just toast, jam and fruit. There was no staff around to order eggs, so it wasn’t the advertised breakfast buffet. There wasn’t even butter, and although there was a sign for a cheese platter, there was no cheese. I’d also asked in my reservation email for a taxi for her, and the manager confirmed the driver was booked. No driver arrived, though, and the manager hadn’t actually booked one. My mum was stressed she’d miss her flight, and she’s going home disappointed.
