Gerda made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived, and she's a gracious host. I was in the Durbanville /Tygervalley area for business, so the nearby location worked well. The place has a homely feel, and while the rooms are dated, they're extremely clean and well maintained. Parking is behind secure access control, breakfast is good, and the quiet street meant little disturbance. I'd certainly recommend Old Oak.

Gerda made me feel at home from the moment I walked in and spoke with her. The rooms are clean, and the lounge is a great place to relax, especially with the Pool Table, Braai Area, and Pool for hot days. I'll definitely come back when I'm in Cape town.

My flight from P.e. was delayed, so I arrived late. Gerda made sure I was safe, helped me check in, and even arranged a warm dinner for me close to 10pm. It's one of the best places I've stayed in a long time. Too bad I was there for only one night. Thanks to Gerda and sandra for breakfast.

I spent two weeks here and felt completely relaxed, like it was a home away from home. Gerda and Sandra were both excellent hosts, and the hospitality was world class. I especially looked forward to breakfast each morning, the meals were delicious and filling. Thank you for hosting me so well. I'd definitely like to stay again.

After a few years away, I visited the Guesthouse again this week and had another blissful stay. Gerda and Sandra were awesome hosts and made it a pleasure, just as the service and hospitality have always been more than I expected over my many stays. I'll be back on my next trip and recommend staying here, you won't regret it. It really is home away from home.
