The rooms are lovely, the host is very friendly, and the area feels safe. Everything is close by. I had a truly great stay and would definitely recommend this guest house.

Graham was a wonderful host. I booked at the very last minute, and I’m so grateful for his warm, exceptional hospitality.

We arrived without calling ahead, but Graham was gentle, kind, and helpful, and went out of his way to find us a place to stay. Within two hours we were settled into a spacious, very clean room with everything needed for a good night’s sleep. The sparkling pool is a bonus, along with a peaceful walkway and a tucked-away front garden for anyone who smokes. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful, and felt completely safe.

We stayed at Port House for seven days and had a very pleasant time. The owner went out of his way to meet our needs and was always there to greet us, while still giving us complete privacy. It has no sea view, but the beach and many restaurants are an easy walk away. The place was spotless and well serviced, and I especially appreciated that the bedding was changed twice during our stay. It was well priced and good value. I’ll recommend Port House wherever I go!

The host was a bit eccentric and greeted us barefoot, and there are pets at the property, though the dog was kept away from us. We got a free upgrade to another room, had a nice breakfast, and found the bathroom and comfortable bed good. The room wasn’t ready when we arrived, possibly because of staff shortages during the festive season. There’s a sparkling pool at the back. The staircase might be difficult for elderly guests or anyone with a disability.
