The accommodation was just what we needed for one night, and there were plenty of restaurants close by. We booked a family room on the same day. Cuan was really helpful with all my questions. It was our first hostel stay, so we weren’t sure what to expect, but the staff and other guests were friendly and respectful. The vibe was nice.

The room smelled a little odd and it was super small, but we had a lot of fun. The guy at reception was awesome. The linen was clean and crisp, the towels smelled fresh, and the showers were clean with nice warm water. We didn’t have breakfast.

The views of Table Mountain were amazing, and the area felt very safe. Our room had all the necessities and was very good value. A lovely place with a really friendly team, great service, and good vibes all around.

The fire pit was a big part of what made our stay unforgettable. Wedday always had a cozy fire ready for people coming back from a day out in Cape Town, and sitting around it talking and laughing with the other guests was lovely. My friends and I felt welcome at saltycrax thanks to the friendly people, especially Wedday, who was always happy to chat or share what he knew about the city. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and everything you need is within walking distance. I’d definitely visit again and highly recommend it.

I felt safe here on my quick, last-minute trip to the Cape as a 48-year-old woman travelling alone. I slept well during my stay, 28-30/12, and the rooms were clean and functional. The crew were courteous, kind, and helpful, and the setting was peaceful. I could walk to the mall or beach, or catch the MyCiti around the corner. Thanks so much, Saltycrax. I’ll definitely be back.
