We left as soon as we could after checking in. 36 Queens Road #302, Cape Town just isn’t suitable for renting. The problems kept coming: the electricity bill hadn’t been paid, quite apart from load shedding, and there’s no generator, so you can be without power most of the day. The balcony furniture was rusty and broken, with a mop bucket beside it. The shower drained so slowly that after three minutes the water was up to our ankles. Internet kept cutting out, the kitchen floor was burned, and the unit had no air conditioning. The management company is Propr, and I see the listing has since been updated to Storeleigh. I noticed my review had been removed, but luckily I’d saved it elsewhere. Pass on this one.

There’s absolutely no soundproofing inside. It feels like you’re living right on the street.
