Sea Five Boutique Hotel

The location was ideal, just a two-minute walk from Camps Bay waterfront, and the rooms were spacious, clean and beautifully kept, with daily housekeeping. The minibar was complimentary and topped up each day, which was a nice touch. The staff were the kindest we’ve encountered at a hotel, always attentive and polite, and it felt sincere. Special thanks to Cindy, Alice, Jodine & Carlvin. My wife was very sick during the first few days, and they really made an effort to care for her. We highly recommend the hotel and will come back on our next trip to SA. Thank you! Ben & Lauren.

The location is wonderful, but the hotel itself made our honeymoon the low point of the trip. Our travel agent had recommended it, so we were especially disappointed. The room was worn and dirty, with chipped walls, scratched furniture, filthy baseboards, a stained tub with someone else’s hairs in it, and stained towels. The curtains wouldn’t close, and staff couldn’t fix them while we were there. The shower drain was clogged with hair from previous guests, so the bathroom flooded every time we showered. We also saw more bugs in the room than in Kruger. The balcony was shared with the room next door, despite being described to us as private. There were broken parts in the room, too. We barely saw any staff during our stay. We were told we’d get a refund for nights we didn’t use if we left early, but then the hotel never contacted us again. After we left, our travel agent sent people there to discuss the refund, but no one was around. I can’t understand the good reviews. I wouldn’t stay here.

Sea Five Boutique made our Cape Town stay incredible. We were comfortable in the beautiful, clean rooms, and the beach, restaurants and shops were all a short walk away. The team were welcoming and helpful throughout. Togo deserves a special mention for going above and beyond from check-in, always making us feel at home with a smile. We’d gladly return and recommend Sea Five to anyone visiting Cape Town.

We’ve just had a wonderful four-night honeymoon stay in a Mountain View Room at Sea Five. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was clean with beautiful views. We’re so grateful to the staff for their kindness, generosity and amazing service.
