Shoreham 303

I wanted to love unit 202 in Shoreham, Sea Point, Cape Town. It has a great position between Camps Bay, the CBD, Signal Hill and the places in between, plus a second-floor view right over the water. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the lounge had a good TV and sound system. The maid said the cockroaches were a building problem, and management said the shower issue was too. The kitchen was full of cockroaches, apparently after the previous guests hadn't kept up with the rubbish. It got very hot in the lounge as well, which I think may have made them more active. We sprayed plenty of doom and ate out for almost every meal, so we could manage that. But the shower stopped draining, then clogged completely and couldn't be used. Management's replies to my complaints were frustrating, including an apology that they had slept for 17 hours. A plumber was apparently coming after checkout, which left four grown men having to wash with the little bidet style fixture or go to my cousin's to shower. That's embarrassing, especially for what we paid. This apartment could be a five-star place, but leaving guests without a usable shower and fixing it only once we've left shows real disregard. Please address the shower, the cockroaches and the cleaning. We need at least a refund for the nights we had to shower at my cousin's.
