The breakfast buffet was a real highlight: lots of choice, beautifully presented, not overcrowded, and accompanied by a live pianist in the mornings. We also tried the dinner buffet once. It was good, but not quite as good as breakfast. The hotel is elegant, beautiful, and well maintained, with a handy spot by the V&A Waterfront and easy access to the CBD. It made a good base for our first day or two in Cape Town. We even hiked up Lion’s Head at sunrise one morning and got back in time for breakfast. The rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed, though they lacked a final wow factor, and some don’t have particularly good views. We were there for leisure in February and had a very pleasant stay overall. A few small things could be fixed: our room had no hairdryer, one treadmill in the decent gym wasn’t working, and the water dispenser was out of order. I’d recommend the hotel as a stylish, convenient place to start a Cape Town trip.

Sonwabise (Snow) made the biggest impression during my two-night business stay. When there was a problem with my first room, she moved me to another one without any hassle, which put me at ease. She was always friendly and smiling, while remaining professional, and her willingness to help and go the extra mile really stood out. We had a wonderful time here. The hotel has gorgeous rooms, friendly staff, and wonderful service, plus two great restaurants. It’s centrally located, with a shuttle bus available if needed. There’s also a lovely wine room where you can buy your favorite bottle.

The Cullinan team made my stay feel like a home away from home. From security to reception, everyone was professional and friendly, and the hotel has a remarkable feel to it. A must on a visit to Cape town. Thank you for a great experience.

Breakfast had plenty of variety and very good coffee, and the shuttle to the waterfront was convenient. I stayed for three nights and was pleasantly surprised by the service and how well the property is maintained. The shower and sink in my room #156 were partly clogged, but even that didn’t spoil the experience. A great place to stay in Cape Town.
