I didn't book through Booking, so I couldn't see the hotel details beforehand. I only found out at check-in that 3826 rand per night didn't cover breakfast or even still water. We'd booked breakfast, and I was ready to pay for the next morning's meal, but you told us to go to our room first. Since I hadn't paid, I assumed breakfast wasn't included. You made it anyway the next day and didn't remind me to come down. Why should I apologize for missing it? You should have told me there was a charge. The 10 AM checkout is unreasonable, and the bathroom was far too small for a four-star hotel. The towels smelled awful. After showering, I had to rinse off and switch to a second one, which was only a little better. I swear I'm telling the truth. I took garden photos because I like animals and try to stay positive, not because the hotel was special. There's just a small garden and a pool, with little else to see. This was my worst experience in cape town.

It feels like a proper home, with nice rooms and the option to self-cater. There are two lounges with comfortable sofas, so working remotely is easy. The pool is excellent and the new loungers are really comfortable. The staff were lovely and very helpful. It's in a nice Cape Town suburb on the Constantia Wine route. We'll be back.

The owners and staff were friendly, and the guesthouse felt simple and homely, like a home away from home. A couple of things could be improved. The pool robot ran all day and night, making a thumping noise. I didn't work out where it came from until the day I left. Also, there's no bathroom door, which couples may want to consider.

The bedroom was comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked really well, and the staff were attentive and polite. I stopped overnight and enjoyed the quiet and the lovely pool. Breakfast wasn't self-service and there was no menu, so it wasn't clear what we'd get. The fruit and yogurt compote were delicious, though a wider selection of toast or pastries would have been nice. I'd recommend it as a B&B.

My daughter loved the garden and the dogs, though dogs may not suit everyone. The location is lovely, with local attractions and restaurants easy to reach. We skipped breakfast, but there are more affordable places to eat a short drive away.
