The view is amazing, though the rooms unfortunately smell of smoke. Some maintenance is needed inside the apartment: the skirting in the main bathroom is loose, and the main bedroom door leading to the patio is broken. The maintenance team replied quickly and said they’d come look at the problems.

The location is lovely, close to the beach, and the view is beautiful, but there were several safety concerns. The balcony door was broken, so we couldn't go out or use the balcony, and even a window came out of its frame. We also waited nearly an hour for a room key. There’s no reception, which made it a problem to find someone and leave the key when we checked out.

The staff were friendly, everything was clean, and security for the car was good. From this height the mountain looks great, and on windy days you can watch the kitesurfers between you and the mountain, which makes for good action photos.

The main bedroom shower still hadn’t been fixed after I phoned to report it, even two days later. During loadshedding there’s no gas stove inside for making coffee or cooking.

I stayed at A703 on the Bay. Han was a wonderful host, and I loved the apartment’s thoughtful details, the view, and the amazing sunset.
