Being just off Kloof Street made it easy to walk to great restaurants and shops, and the location is fantastic despite the busy street. The double glazing meant I still slept really well. This charming Cape Town guest house was more quaint than I’d expected, set in a buzzy part of the city. Breakfast was simple and delicious, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. They even let me leave my car on the property after checkout, which I appreciated. The value is excellent. There’s no TV in the room, but that didn’t bother me. I really enjoyed my stay and will book again for my next work trip. Highly recommended!

After a business trip, I spent a few days in this lovely little oasis right in central Cape Town. I felt at home immediately, and everyone at the guest house was friendly and attentive. My room was beautiful, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. I’d gladly come back and highly recommend it! 🍀☀️🍀

I’d happily stay at this little Cape Town guest house again if I need a place for a short visit, and I’d recommend it to others too. The owner-manager took care to make sure guests felt safe, and the friendly, personal welcome added to the stay. It’s right in the busy area near Kloof Street, but the double glazing kept the road noise out. The Victorian-style rooms were well furnished, everything worked, and the good linen and bed made for a restful night. A couple of small things could be better: there’s no TV or bar fridge, and blackout curtains would help with the light from outside.

Once you’re inside, the city noise fades and the place feels peaceful. It’s tucked right into central Gardens, just a short walk from major restaurants, nightlife, and Kloof Street, with parking available too. The rooms were a decent size, clean, cosy, and decorated with antiques. The breakfast table was lovely, and reception felt neat, safe, and secure.

We were a family of four with two teenagers, and Tintagel Guest House quickly felt like home. After our outings, we especially enjoyed unwinding on the peaceful patio. The rooms were roomy and comfortable, and the central spot made it easy to explore Cape Town. The staff were warm and helpful, with good suggestions for things to do. We had a fantastic stay and are already looking forward to coming back.
