The staff were fantastic, and BJ was warm and friendly from the start, with great advice. I was impressed by how clean and homely this backpackers is, and how well it's run. Its Long Street location is ideal for an exciting stay in the City Centre, and it's very affordable. If you're unsure about staying on Long Street, I wouldn't worry.

It feels like being aboard a wrecked ship. Every little thing makes noise, and when a door shuts, the whole place shakes. Loud music from other occupants is normal here.
