We were a family of eight in town over Easter weekend, mostly out attending church services. The rooms were okay, but our stay felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming because the host seemed frustrated and irritated with us for no reason. We couldn't figure out what we'd done. We paid for customer service and would have preferred staying in Darling, 15kms away, where we could enjoy a family dinner without feeling like boarders who weren't free to sit together.

A home away from home for respectable, tidy guests. It seems best suited to families.

My family and I stayed there five years ago, in 2017, after being transferred from George to Mamre. They don't cook for children, and the staircase railings are spaced too far apart, which could be unsafe for little kids sleeping on the first floor.

The dogs howled through the night, and the toilet smelled like prawn shells. The parking area was untidy, with old tyres, chairs, and poles, and the entrance walls were unpainted. The bedside lamps were poor, and the Facebook photos looked nothing like the actual place.

The host deserves a 5/5, and the stay was a great experience. I'd have liked more toilets upstairs and a private bathroom. Thanks, I'll definitely come back.
