Valley Heights Guest House B&B

The staff were incredibly kind and courteous, from the owner through to the kitchen team. It’s not a typical hotel, more of a homey place, and the surroundings are very neat. It has what you need to feel comfortable. My only wish is that they could provide backup energy during load shedding. Without it, the room gets hot and uncomfortable.

We sat out on the balcony in such peaceful, quiet surroundings, and the breakfast we had on our first morning was made and served with so much care. Debbie* and her team run a really organised place for both local and international tourists. We stayed for 10 days and were impressed by the service and how well the location suited us. Debbie kept in touch from when I left home until I arrived. The rooms were immaculate, with crisp linen changed and rooms cleaned every day. Coffee, tea, and milk were replenished daily when I used them. There’s secure parking behind gates, and whenever Debbie saw us she checked that we were okay. One evening I came back late and found no towel on the bed for my shower. I called, and Debbie was at my door with one before I knew it. That’s excellent service I’d never have got in a hotel. Checkout was at 10 am, but she gave us an extra hour because our flights were in the late afternoon. Well done, Debbie and team. It truly felt like my home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back.

Debi was such a warm, welcoming host. The location worked really well for us, with popular grocery stores and some great restaurants nearby. Truly grateful.

The rooms are beautiful, and breakfast was lovely. But the pillows were flat and gave no support, so I had to sleep on a scatter cushion. There was a coffee area in my room but no cups. The tiled steps and approach to the rooms make quite a lot of noise, so getting an early night wouldn’t work.
