We spent a couple of weeks here and it worked well for our family, with a good kitchen and lots of space. Our room was nice, with a roof terrace and an amazing view, and breakfast was good and adjusted to what we needed. The place was clean, but some things felt messy or disorganized, and there wasn’t enough coordination between the owner and the maids. That’s why I took off two stars.

Our first meeting with the caretaker was wonderful. Looking forward to staying here.

The driveway and parking are very steep and challenging, and the price feels completely out of proportion to what you get. There’s better accommodation nearby for half as much. They only told us on arrival that they initially wanted cash; we insisted on paying the owner by EFT, even though the owner doesn’t live on the property.

I booked this hoping to support a local business, but the stay was very disappointing. There was a bad smell throughout the property for all three days. The bathroom and shower doors were broken, and the toilet was so close to the basin that I couldn’t sit comfortably on it as a medium-sized person. Our outside table wasn’t cleaned, and nothing we used was tidied up for three days. The woman the owner left to run the place said she needed cash to feed the dogs and buy electricity, so I had to leave to withdraw some. I wasn’t impressed and wouldn’t recommend it. Such a shame.

We had a fantastic time with family and friends over New Year in this peaceful, relaxed setting. The housekeeping lady was a pleasure to deal with, very friendly and accommodating.
