Villa Simona Bed Breakfast

We stayed from February 28 to March 4, 2018. Simona owns the place. I’m including the dates and posting photos and videos because I don’t want anyone else to make the same mistake. This felt like a scam, and I hate having to write such a bad review. The pool was dirty and unusable, despite the listing showing a clean, working pool and furniture for lounging beside it. I checked other Airbnbs nearby, and they had functioning pools. The room for the three of us was disgusting and unsafe. There was a mosquito-infested pond outside, no air conditioning, and no nets, so we couldn't open doors or windows to get airflow without letting mosquitoes in. The electrical breaker panel beside the shower had no cover, which was extremely dangerous, so we had to shower upstairs in our friends' rooms. The cabinets and furniture were broken and dirty, and the room had cockroaches. With the place so open and no nets or sliding net doors, bugs could easily get inside. Photos are included, and I also have videos to submit if Airbnb allows.

The house and amenities were unacceptable, and the host was the worst I've ever had to deal with. Don't make the mistake of staying here. I'm surprised Airbnb still allows this listing.

I paid R 3600 upfront online for two days. When I arrived and saw the dark, damp room and the bathroom we were expected to share, I was appalled. The room smelled like raw sewage. We left and slept somewhere else, but they refused to refund even half my money. Nothing looked like the website, so this felt like completely false advertising. I wouldn't send anyone there. Stay away!

The new owner has turned this place into apartments, so it isn't a hotel anymore.
