Wind-Rose Guest House

All the staff are kind and welcoming, and the breakfasts are tasty. The grounds and facilities are gorgeous and well kept, and it’s a comfortable place to spend time away from home. It’s secure and ideally located for getting to Gordon's Bay or the N2. Highly recommend!

We were so well looked after, from the warm welcome and quick tour by the owner to the friendly, smiling staff who took care of our needs. With me allergic to eggs and my partner enjoying them, the cook prepared our food separately and met my dietary needs completely. Our compliments to the chef. Breakfast was a good buffet with a slight German twist, though I’m not sure if that’s standard at Wind-Rose. We enjoyed it either way. It was the only time we noticed other guests, since the rest of our stay felt as if we had the place to ourselves. We relaxed by the pool beneath the reeded gazebo, on soft furniture with plenty of cushions. The gardens were beautifully kept, with soft lawns that seemed to invite a picnic among nature, and we spotted quite a few birds, including some we seldom see in Cape Town. Wind-Rose Guest House sits in a stunning area with amazing Hottentots-Holland mountain views, tucked securely inside the gated Firlands Farming community. Once admitted, guests can come and go as they please. The nearby Gordon’s Bay and Bikini Beaches are a short drive away, along with quaint seaside curio shops, a book shop, and plenty of places to eat, including fast food. Treat yourself to a stay at Wind-Rose Guest House. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks to the owners for a wonderful experience.

We came back to Wind-Rose for a second visit, this time with our kids, and they had so much fun. The rooms were clean, the service was excellent, the views were beautiful, and the garden was well kept. Carola & Peter, the awesome owners, went above and beyond to make our Christmas stay memorable. Thanks for kindly treating us to breakfast, it was lovely! The staff were friendly and helpful, and I can’t recommend the accommodation enough. From the Slight family, enjoy the rest of your holidays.

There’s lots of parking on site, security gates, and big gardens with several spots to relax. I spent the day unwinding by the pool and taking in the stunning mountain view. The hosts were great, friendly, and informative, and the gentleman showed me around and explained the amenities. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and air conditioning is available. It’s very well priced and excellent value. I’d highly recommend Wind-Rose Guest House, and think I may become a regular each year.
