Hampton House

The rooms are beautifully furnished, and breakfast was tasty. We had a comfortable stay, with friendly, helpful staff. I’d definitely recommend their hospitality and would gladly visit again. Thank you.

We got to use the kitchen to warm up our dinner late in the evening, thanks to our welcoming host. The room was comfortable and clean, and the property was beautiful, with birds all around. This was our first stop after arriving in Johannesburg, before heading north the next morning. It was a cold night in July, but the heated blanket made it cozy, and the hot shower felt almost like a hammam. Such a treat!

After we mentioned that the air conditioning in our first room wasn’t working properly, they moved us to another room without any trouble. It was spacious and well equipped. There’s a pleasant garden, swimming pool, and barbecue area, and breakfast was simple but tasty.

Ruth was lovely, and the guest house was clean. That was about all I liked. When we arrived one evening, my colleague, who’d already been there for two weeks, was chatting with someone I assume was the owner or manager. She just dismissed me when I said hello. I’m meant to return in August, but I’ve refused to stay at Hampton house.
