For the people I was with, not being allowed to drink alcohol was a deal breaker. We also had to keep quiet, and that's not our cup of tea, we're a very loud family. It was the festive season, and the area was so quiet that I didn't like it. We ended up cancelling our bookings because the place truly gave us a feeling of depression and anxiety. The man working there seemed completely clueless when we asked questions, just as confused as we were. I really don't think I'll come here again. ‼️The pictures were extracted from video, so they're blurry‼️

UPDATE: The company has refunded me now, after I had to lose my polite manner and get agitated with an innocent employee. The rooms looked clean and neat, so they get one more star. The venue mix-up may have been an honest miscommunication, but their casual approach to customer satisfaction leaves a lot to be desired. I'm keeping the original review here to remind myself to read reviews before paying for accommodation with some vendors. The company has multiple venues in Erasmia and Laudium but won't say which one you've been booked into. We didn't stay in the suburb they wanted us to stay in because it wasn't where we were. We arranged alternative accommodation, and they still weren't processing our refund. They may not be outright scammers, but, as many other reviews reflect, they simply don't care about making it a good experience for guests dealing with them. Avoid.

After we paid, no one opened the gate when we arrived, and pressing the reception button was no help. Their phones were off too. We never even entered the guest house, but they refused to refund us. The client service was pathetic, and the way they communicated was so rude. I've stayed at many hotels and guest houses in my life and never experienced anything like it. Don't visit, you'll pay, show up, and be left outside.

I wouldn't recommend this place at all. The beds were worn out and the bedding torn, and we got just one towel for two people in a room. You had to go looking for someone to get toilet paper. There was black mould in the bathrooms, covered over with silicone, and the ceiling was falling in. The whole house had one small fridge, and the freezer didn't work. There was no cutlery or proper coffee mugs. Breakfast was horrible, who fries polony? The back yard looked like a dump for building materials and waste. There was no provision for loadshedding, and no schedule could be given. The place in Laudium was dilapidated and full of cockroaches and bugs, nothing like the photos online and on social media. I had to fumigate everything before going home to make sure I didn't bring bugs back to my house. Worst stay and place ever. No star can be given for "see you there bed and breakfast."
