There are two lovely pool areas, and the location on the hill above Swellendam is great. I stayed one night in a luxury double, which was very clean and well equipped. There are several nice outdoor spots too, including a fire pit and braai. I’d highly recommend the place.

The atmosphere here is incredible. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, with a lovely mix of modern and rustic style. They feel elegant, almost like a five-star apartment.

The house we stayed in was cosy and had everything stocked well. The bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and tidy, and I appreciated the fresh towels and the bed being made every day. The service and staff were amazing. We loved everything about this beautiful place and will be back!

The one downside for us was the huge number of mosquitos, so bring spray. Otherwise, we loved it. Our children made friends with other guests’ kids at the pool, and having the rooms around the pools made it feel safe. We could come and go with our own key, and reception was usually open if we needed help. The rooms and town had everything we needed. It’s on the edge of town, so even a walk gives you beautiful views right away.

The owner is a darling, and everything else was just right for our one-night winter stop. We were glad to have the fireplace on a cold night. The spacious room had a king-size bed and double bunk, while the kitchen had crockery, cutlery, a fridge, microwave, stove, tea, coffee, milk, and complimentary rusks. Each unit has its own fireplace. The only problem was that the bath water didn’t get hot when we topped it up.
