Damas

It’s quiet at night, with secure parking, and the rooms have air conditioning. They were kept clean every day. A very nice place to stay.

Damas is far enough from town to feel like you’re out in the country, while still being close to Worcester for food or shopping. The setting is lovely, with pretty gardens, mountain views, and peaceful, quiet rooms that were neat, clean, and functional. The restaurant food was good quality and filling, and all the staff were super friendly.

The peaceful setting is what makes Damas idyllic: wine country, mountains, wildlife, and quiet all around. There’s absolutely nothing to do within 100 km, so it’s a good fit if you want a comfortable break from the busy world. I usually don’t like B&Bs or the personal attention that comes with getting to know the owners, but Damas finds a nice balance. The small business owners make sure guests are happy and still give you space. Prices are incredibly reasonable, and I’d gladly pay twice as much to come back. I didn’t get to eat there, but the little cookies in the room were amazing :)

We went to a corporate function at Damas. The food was good, though not great, and the hall wasn’t quite suited to 80 attendees. The rooms and beds were comfortable and spacious, about what I’d expect from a three-star venue.
