Shelley made us feel so welcome at Berg Treat and went above and beyond with her hospitality. We loved our stay. Bergview Estates also gives you great access to nearby hiking trails in Drakensberg Sun and Monks Cowl. We’ll be back!

A peaceful setting, lovely birdlife, and a comfortable, well-equipped three-bedroom cottage with stunning views. There are great hikes nearby, Blue Grotto is a must, and plenty of other attractions are close by too. We’ll return!

The hosts were very accommodating, and the unit had everything we needed. It’s a great base for visiting the lovely little shops nearby, with a beautiful mountain view right there. It really is a “berg treat.” We’ll be back!

We could easily have stayed a week or two. This off-grid home in Bergview Estates felt like a lovely home away from home, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove and geyser, and a living room with a fireplace and TV. There’s also a dining area, a nice stoep with outdoor seating, a braai spot, firepit, and grassy garden for games. The hiking trails at Monk's Cowl campsites and Canopy Tours are nearby. A real treat on the mountainside.

A really nice off-grid cottage in the Champagne Valley, so it’s environmentally friendly. The location is great, with lovely walks close by.
