A peaceful spot with spectacular mountain views. The accommodation was modern, tidy and comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean. A great place for a family getaway.

There's plenty to enjoy here, from the pool and play area to jumping on the trampoline or taking a canoe out. The facilities are well kept, and the price is fair compared with nearby chalets. Our well-equipped kitchen, braai area and handy fireplace made the stay easy. It's hard to get bored, and it's a nice quiet escape with family or your partner.

The owners were friendly and accommodating, and the place is well positioned in the Drakenberg region. Fishing was the downside: the dams are overgrown with grass, so bass fishing seems impossible except from the canoes, though there are a couple of decent-sized fish. The public road from the N3 is basically one long pothole.

The staff were friendly, humble and accommodating, and the self-catering chalet had everything we needed. There are lots of recreational amenities, and the setting is peaceful, with beautiful surroundings and amazing views. Definitely worth another visit before too long.
