The 950 rand special was awesome, and this has to be one of the best value for money places in the berg. We had great food with substantial portions, and there’s a pool and play area for kids, as well as hikes and fishing. Reception staff were very helpful, and the barman was the most efficient and helpful guy I’ve come across in a long time. The outside of the restaurant could use a little maintenance, though I’m sure that’ll be sorted out soon. I can definitely recommend a visit.

The location is stunning, but the campsite feels run down and camping clearly doesn’t get much priority. The ablutions are old but satisfactory. Two had no hot water, and the one that did was only lukewarm at best. There were no dustbins.

We ended up extending our stay because the cottage was perfect for us: basic, clean, and with a beautiful view. Breakfast was included in the special, and it was superb and very generous. We felt very welcome, and our little chihuahua enjoyed himself too. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit and can’t wait to come back next year!

Our unit sat by a lake with spectacular mountain views, which more than made up for the basic accommodation. It’s a fantastic family resort, with lots to do there and in the surrounding area.

The setting is superb, right there in nature. I’ve been here numerous times, and it’s always wonderful to walk into reception and be welcomed by the two ladies.
