We set off on the BLUE TRAIL WALK this morning and found the super dam. The views are beautiful, and it's so peaceful, with birdsong wherever you go. The cottage is close to the trail and has a big fruit-tree garden out back, with a stunning view of the big rock mountain. It sleeps six comfortably. Inside, the wooden floors and lovely wooden furniture give it a great smell and a homely feel as soon as you walk in. I also loved the natural stone bricking and the pictures on the walls. Highly recommend this lovely place.

Penni was a darling of a host, and I loved spending my birthday week at this quaint cottage. It has a vintage charm you just don't find these days, with amazing mountain views. The gas geyser was a big highlight, the showers were hot and steamy! The new sunroom was an added bonus. I spent a whole day just relaxing there. It's also not far from the Clarens nature trails. I can see myself visiting again.

You get a lovely garden to wander in and uninterrupted mountain views, and it's a short walk to town while still far enough away that you can't hear the nighttime revelry. The place is huge for the price, great for family groups, though mind your head on the door frames. If you like historic places with an authentic old-town feel and fittings, this one's for you. The creaky old wood floors and stone-carved bricks give it loads of character.

Everything important is close by, and the house was clean when we arrived with all the amenities we needed. It's a quiet, beautiful spot for a getaway. The house is modern and very well looked after. Would definitely recommend!
