We stayed in Units 1 and 3 at Forest Lane Guest House, and the rooms were lovely, with stylish decor and thoughtful details that made them feel welcoming and comfortable. Unit 1’s fireplace was just right for a chilly September evening, and both showers had excellent pressure, great for a refreshing rinse. Our host was attentive throughout, communicated clearly and shared useful local suggestions, including tips for the Titanic Challenge trail run that brought us to Clarens. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the combination of the rooms and service made Forest Lane a real gem. Great value, and highly recommended.

It was a nice stay, and the room had what I needed for one night. It’s right beside the main house, with a very comfortable bed and shower. I would’ve preferred milk for the coffee instead of cremora. I also expected to be closer to town, but the gravel road is rough and it isn’t really walkable if you have a small car.

A clean, tidy room with a lovely mountain view. The shower was great, and the resident dogs were very friendly.

The birds in the garden were delightful, and Forest Lane no 1 had everything I needed. I especially appreciated the bathroom heater and the warm water bottles. The pipes freezing overnight in winter was a new experience for me, but thank you for supplying water and letting me know. I hope to visit again soon.
