Lola’s is just a few minutes' drive from Clarens Extreme, and close to both the town square and hiking trails. The accommodation is lovely, clean, and spacious, with breathtaking views, so it works well for a family or friends' getaway. I only wish there were more seats in the living room.

The bottom unit beneath the main house was spacious and really nice overall, with secure parking and daily servicing. It has a couch, kitchenette and ensuite, so it's just right for a couple. You can sometimes hear people moving around upstairs, but it wasn't too disruptive. There isn't a separate geyser, so if everyone in the main house is using hot water, you may run out. We also noticed an unpleasant sewage smell at times. I'd still recommend the unit.

We loved staying here. The unit has everything you need, and they've made provision for load shedding with a gas stove and rechargeable light. We'd love to come back in winter.

The Maluti mountains look beautiful from here. Before your visit, check that they've fumigated for cockroaches and treated the pipes and drains, as there can be a bad sewerage smell.
