The host had left such thoughtful treats in the fridge: rusks for coffee, freshly baked seed bread sourced locally, plus jams and butter. The garden and patio were lovely spots to take in the spectacular views, and the cottage was spotless, a real home away from home. Check-in was seamless too. This stay was the cherry on top of a beautiful Clarens experience, and we’ll definitely stay here again when we return. Thank you ❤️

The beds were really comfortable, the rooms had good storage, and the electric blanket worked like a charm. The kitchen was stocked with utensils. I couldn’t find an iron, though the ironing board was there. Water and power cuts did put a damper on our two-night stay, but I guess we’ll have to get used to those conditions. I’d still recommend this lovely cottage.

Mountain views and an easy walk to shops and restaurants made the location just right. Sage cottage was such a surprise: cosy, beautiful, and super clean, with everything we needed. We loved the treats left for us, including tea, coffee, yoghurt, fruit, jams, and homemade bread. We’ll definitely come back!

Santi was a wonderful host, and the home was beautiful, restful, and well appointed with everything we needed for a break away. Mountain Sage is now one of our favourites.
