Stacey was so friendly and helpful, sharing information about transport, activities, and restaurants from the trip planning stage right through our stay. The Upper House grounds are serene, well maintained, and pleasing to look at. Our cottage was super cozy, and the staff kept it clean throughout. Thanks to the Upper House team for a wonderful experience.

This was my second stay at Upperhouse Guesthouse, this time for a long weekend with family. Stacey is a sweetheart. Communication from booking and planning through to arrival was seamless, and she went out of her way to provide what we wanted. My executive suite was amazing, with a mix of vintage and modern furniture and furnishings. The bed was soft, luxurious, and very comfortable, with an electric blanket and fireplace for cold nights. And the breakfasts were scrumptious. I could go on and on.

Stacey made the stay memorable, she really went out of her way for us. We loved the breakfast, and the square was an easy walk away. From arriving to settling into the rooms, the attention to detail was wonderful. We'd happily come back.

Breakfast was superb, and we appreciated warming up by the fireplace with the complimentary sherry. Upper House, Clarens felt comfortable and homey, with clean, comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Even the bright, warm bathroom light made winter feel less cold. Natalie welcomed us despite our late arrival, explained the room and nearby area, and suggested restaurants. She was friendly and accommodating, as were the professional cleaning staff. It felt like good value, with everything we needed.
