We had a lovely time and enjoyed all of it. The setting is laid-back, with gorgeous views and the beach close by. Breakfast was lovely, and the staff were kind and attentive.

We felt at home from the moment we arrived. Our hosts welcomed us so warmly, and the personal atmosphere and attentive service made the stay feel special. The view from our breakfast table was fantastic, and their recommendations and help were excellent.

The ocean views never let up, and neither did the bliss. Such a beautiful sight for our Joburg-weary eyes. Thanks, Cliff Lodge, we had a great stay.

We had a modern, roomy suite with plenty of space for our luggage, and the staff were so friendly. The windows look a little unclear, but after one night we understood why. The hotel has an amazing view. Breakfast was great, with fresh fruit and something freshly baked from the menu. You can walk around safely during the day, either along the paved road or around the cliffs. Both routes are recommended. For dinner, you’ll need to go out. In winter there unfortunately aren’t any restaurants nearby, though they’ll make a reservation for you at a great one. You need a car to get there, just as you do for Cliff Lodge, and you have to be comfortable driving in the dark since there are no streetlights.

The views from the terraces, sea view room and breakfast area are spectacular. Gideon & Gil and their team were super friendly, and gave us great tips on places to visit around the region. Breakfast was hot and excellent, especially the South African option. We spent a few hours hiking in Walkers bay, feeling the waves on the beach and visiting the caves. Definitely worth it.
