Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. Gina and Otto are great hosts, know the area well, and run an excellent guesthouse. Five-star recommendation.

We had a great time with the overseas guests from Holland and Germany. The accommodation is pet friendly and suits people looking for an inexpensive stay. Breakfast is served every morning and was delicious. There’s Wi-Fi, which suited me, but no DSTV. Parking is available and feels safe.

The rooms were clean and good, with a touch of class, and I enjoyed breakfast. Whale watching at Die Kelders was better than at Hermanus, even though both are on Walker Bay. Haus Giotto is close to Gansbaai but on a quiet, tranquil road, away from the busy town centre while still near anything you might need. Beaches and whales are just a stone’s throw from the B+B. I stayed for two nights.

The hosts were warm and helped us with tips for seeing the sights around the area. We had a great experience, with nice coastal views from a location very close to the coastline. It’s just 10 minutes from Gaansbai harbour, where shark cage diving takes place.
