The sea view was the real highlight. Waking up to that scenery made our stay feel extra special, and Milkwood House was a comfortable, well-designed place for our family to relax together. It had everything we could possibly need and felt like a home away from home. Antje and her team were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout. We had a wonderful stay and would happily come back.

I've now stayed at whalesong three times, and every visit has felt even better and more welcoming. That's why I returned after the first one. I tried to book again for my mom's birthday, but they were full. They helped us find Milkwood House, a beautiful home connected to them just behind whalesong Lodge. We could use the amenities whalesong offered, and also enjoyed having a lovely private garden. The house had everything we might need, and the views from the upstairs bedrooms were unbelievable. Happy guests again!

The sea-side location was a great start, and Antje was such a lovely hostess. The staff, room, and service were all brilliant. The lodge doesn't serve a traditional dinner, but they put together a world-class aperitif for us with so much care. Better than any dinner! Whoever we asked was happy to share useful tips and information about things to do nearby.

We only have two nights here, which is a shame. The views take in the whole bay with whales, reaching as far as the Cape of Good Hope. The living area, breakfast room, and kitchen are furnished with so much care, and nothing is missing. There's a self-service bar, plus a great variety of fruit and vegetables, and the staff are super friendly.
