We loved the peaceful surroundings, fresh air, and the cattle and sheep that walked past the fully fenced yard each day. The cottage has a stunning 360° view and is cosy, clean, and fully equipped. It was cold, so the fireplace was much appreciated, and wood and charcoal were provided. The road was a bit challenging after the recent heavy rain, but the 4 x 4 drive was part of the fun. Jaco went the extra mile to make sure we were happy and comfortable. It's a gem, and we'll definitely visit again and recommend it to friends and family.

Mountain View is a quiet little gem with a lovely mountain view. The low light makes it great for photographing the night sky and stars. The fenced yard is good for smaller dogs to run around, and the water pressure is great, with very hot water. There are plenty of blankets, warm duvets, and pillows. The locals from the settlement were friendly and helpful, and the road was fine in a high clearance SUV. The unit is cosy and trendy, with a very well equipped kitchen. The fireplace was ready for our arrival, and a starter pack of wood, fire-lighters, and matches was supplied. If you need more wood, you'll have to buy it in town or bring some along.

I'm here with my husband and two littlies, and we're loving the room to explore on daily walks, the lovely mountain sunrises, nearby animals, fresh air, and beautiful views. It's a beautiful place for a family break and a chance to decompress. The simple cottage has everything you need. You'll need a 4x4 for the road, but once you arrive it's peaceful. The owners have been kind and great. I definitely recommend Mountain View Cottage for a tranquil getaway.

We woke to a beautiful sunrise over the mountain of Verlorenvlei-Nature Reserve, just as the name suggests. There's plenty to see in the distance, so bring binoculars. It's a brilliant place for kids and pets, with lots of room to play and run around the house and farm. The cottage was clean and clearly prepared with care. There's a nice braai and fireplace, with an unlimited supply of wood. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. We even put a mattress in front of the fireplace to make the most of it. My Vodacom signal was pretty strong, with 4G. Bring a high clearance vehicle, and perhaps a 4x4 in the rainy season. We'll definitely be back, this time with our mountain bikes!
