The garden was lovely, especially for a summer evening, and I had a really relaxing stay. My room had the privacy I'd asked for, and it was cleaned and looked after while we were out the next morning. The host was warm and welcoming when I first came to look around, even though it was rather late, and I was given a lot of help before booking. I didn't get his name, but he's clearly well trained in his work. Please keep up the great service. Thank you 💯

The stay was a terrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend this place at all. On arrival, the two rooms we requested hadn't been set up as asked, one with two single beds and the other with a double. The bedding was dirty, and we were one towel short, so we had to share because we couldn't find anyone to ask. The water smelled strongly of chlorine and left the smell on our skin. By 11 am the next day no one had cleaned the rooms, so we had to ask. On Sunday morning there was no water, and we had to go somewhere else to shower.

The water really stinks. The smell eases a bit once it comes through the geyser, but it's still awful. The establishment needs to treat its tanks. Even bleach would be a cheap way to do it. The room gets three stars from me, but that smell is the main thing people should know. The gorgeous new intern welcomed me with a huge smile and a bright personality, then showed me around the room. The bed felt worn from a lot of use, and the spacious bathroom had an extractor above the shower blowing cold air.

A quiet little town, and a good place to find some peace of mind.

The room was a decent size, and the aircon, TV and Wi-Fi all worked. There were lots of bugs, though the room had bug spray, which makes sense with the big garden. The plate in my room was dirty, while everything else seemed clean. The water smelled bad and came out brown at first. I couldn't bring myself to shower in it, and definitely wouldn't drink it. At R800, it felt too expensive, especially since the website says R750 and you can't even use the water. I won't be back.
