Getting around Durban was easy from here, with Uber rides to places like Umhlanga quick and affordable. The B&B is also close to Durban CBD while still being peaceful and quiet. The garden is lush and relaxing, and the staff are warm, welcoming, and happy to help. Breakfast was delicious, with vegan options accommodated easily. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well equipped, including a TV with DStv, bar fridge, air conditioning, fan, and tea and coffee station. A hidden gem for comfort, convenience, and great hospitality.

I was asked about my check-in time and arrival for most of the day. When I got there, the elderly owner or manager was stroppy, pointed arrogantly toward my room, and said, “I need to go. It's late!” I was travelling for business and was exhausted after a red-eye flight, a conference, and business dinners. Being greeted that way at the place where I was meant to rest was a bitter end to a long day. I demanded to be let off the property, but she refused to open the gate. Mind blown. I was irritated, sure, but being treated like a child when I was a paying guest was beyond me. Don’t sell hospitality if you aren’t hospitable. This client and its future business will go elsewhere. Given the response I received to my message, we’ll probably see the same here soon.

The view is lovely, the staff are really friendly, and breakfast was mouth-watering. Great place, and the Wi-Fi was good too.

Whenever work brings me to Durban, I usually stay here, at least four times a year. Nick and Banu always make sure I'm settled and get a restful stay. It's clean, peaceful, and relaxing, and breakfast is consistently great.
