It was cleaner and more spacious than I expected, with amenities conveniently close by. My only complaint is the lack of proper air conditioning in the bedroom in the apartment we got. It gets very hot at night, which could be uncomfortable for some. Still, a great experience overall.

We'd paid in full, but still spent hours waiting for help after arriving during check-in time. The entrance smelled of cigarettes, and the receptionist was on the phone recording WhatsApp voice notes while chewing gum noisily. The caretaker couldn't be found, and the helpdesk woman was no help at all. Honestly, if I could leave a minus-one rating, I would. Very unprofessional.

It's an okay spot right on the beachfront, near ushaka marine world, but it feels more like a block of flats than a luxurious vacation place. The price wasn't bad, I guess, though I'd want something more for a holiday.

Kwikspar is a little farther away, while Ushaka Marine and the People Mover bus route are close by. There's also a surfing club nearby and Addington Public Hospital on the beachfront. All prayers for the nurses, doctors, and staff making such a difference for local and rural communities. Well done to Durban's community for its charitable efforts too.

I had a lovely, peaceful stay with my partner and two kids. The apartment was neat, the host checked in on us on arrival to make sure we were settled, and I slept so well waking up to a view of the sea. Hot water was always available, and there was backup lighting for load-shedding. South Beach and Ushaka Marine were both about a 2-5 minute walk away, and the price felt ridiculously cheap for the location and our family. I'd read reviews mentioning cockroaches before booking in May for my birthday, which nearly put me off, but I was amazed by the standard when we arrived. Just be aware that noise isn't tolerated and there aren't dishwashing cloths or similar supplies. I really appreciated the service.
