This place doesn’t feel safe, and the service was so bad I kept wondering why they were open when they seemed unready. There’s construction going on, workers are constantly moving around, and the electricity keeps tripping. They called the meal a buffet, but the waiter told me to take just one piece. That sausage on my plate was all I ate. She stood there with her hands on her hips, too. I even said she should smile when serving food. Google Maps needs a zero or negative rating for places like this.

Breakfast was a frustrating part of the stay. It didn’t start until 8:30 at first, which was too late for us since we were there for work and would already be far away in the province. They only let us eat at 8 on Thursday. The meal was two eggs, two slices of bacon, one slice of bread and a tiny cup of baked beans. There was no tea or juice, and we were told tea cost an extra R18. The rooms were also disappointing. They’re so small that a double bed and a chair fill them, and the TV is mounted so high you have to look up or stand to watch. It showed only SABC 1 all week, with no way to change channels. There’s no kettle or tea setup, and no soap in the bathroom. On the first day we had to wash with water until I complained, then a staff member searched other rooms and found a tiny bottle of shower gel. I had to ask for it, and it was never left for me without asking. There were no towels in my room for the first two days, though I didn’t bother asking. I’m sharing what happened so future guests aren’t caught by surprise. Our admin person, who handles accommodation bookings, was with us on this work trip and has already ruled the place out.

We had a really bad time there for my friend's birthday on Saturday. It was very windy, but they seated us outside. The food arrived cold, the meat was burnt, and the curry was both tasteless and spicy. They need a new chef, and the staff should be friendlier.

The whole thing was disorganized and bad. We arrived at midnight, but didn’t get our starters until 3:30 pm, then the main came at 4:00 and wasn’t what we’d asked for. To make it worse, they had double-booked us with another group. The service was poor.
