Our booking was cancelled by the owner a week before we were due to travel. We'd booked through Discovery Travel, but they chose to use the venue for their daughter's kitchen tea and bachelorette instead. We had to ask Discovery for the refund and chased it several times. In the end, R150.00 was deducted for admin fees and cancellation charges. They cancel bookings when it suits them, so I can't recommend this guesthouse. Trip Reference: 5B7D5C3

The room was cosy and very nice, and the stay itself was really good. At breakfast, nobody asked how we wanted our eggs or discussed our preferences. Also, if you need an invoice as proof of payment, ask for it right away. I was told I'd get mine on departure, but it's been almost 2 weeks and, after several calls and messages, I'm still trying to get the receipt.

A family run bed and breakfast with helpful, accommodating owners and staff. The beautiful central golf course and amazing Cafe41 are just a few minutes' walk away. And those bathrooms, too!

For a small guest house it's okay, but the advertising is misleading. It doesn't have a restaurant, tennis courts, squash courts, driving range, practice putting green, chipping facility, bar or halfway house. Those all belong to the Silverlakes Club.

Peaceful, quiet and secure. They can bring breakfast to your room, fresh and made as you like it. Housekeeping and maintenance were good, and the kitchen had the essentials.
