Jay and Bee Guest House

The place itself is stunning and the employees were friendly, but management handled our reservation and concerns very poorly. We were left stranded for about 40 minutes after checking in on December 31, 2024, because the rooms weren't arranged as requested. A group of ladies, we booked and paid a deposit for three rooms in October 2024, asking for them to be close together for convenience. Everything was confirmed, and I even called the owner that morning to say we were coming. Still, when we arrived, one room was on the first floor, another on the second, and the third wasn't available. Matlatsi (🤭I hope I spelled the name correctly), a staff member, did her best to help. The owner was stubborn, rude, and dismissive, and wouldn't acknowledge our concerns. She suggested we find somewhere else if we didn't like the room arrangements, said nothing could be done about the unavailable room, and told us cancelling that room meant cancelling all of them with no refund. She also cited a first-come, first-served policy, despite our advance booking and deposit. About 40 minutes later, she came to Jay and Bee Guest House to deal with the issue, but we still weren't fully satisfied. We compromised, and the other ladies had to sleep on the floor for the whole trip. The owner took no responsibility. There was also a power outage for around 30 minutes on January 1, 2025, with no communication from staff or management. The Wi-Fi was unstable throughout our stay, and the parking area needs improvement.
