Musgrave Avenue Guest Lodge

A year has passed today, and I still remember the spacious rooms, quality linen, and all the warmth, generosity, kindness, and helpfulness. Thank you for a lovely stay at Musgrave Avenue Guest Lodge. The hospitality and Ubuntu really impressed me, and I’d gladly come back in future. Keep shining Musgrave, I appreciate you all!

The place is tidy, and the shopping mall is close enough to walk to when you need something. What stands out most is how welcoming the staff are. They go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable, and a friendly face brings breakfast to my room every morning and checks that I have enough to eat. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality. We’ll stay here again!

The rooms were comfortable, thoughtfully put together, and tasteful, and the quiet area made for good sleep during our three-night stay. The kitchen had a few shortcomings for a self-catering unit. The pots were so worn out we couldn’t cook with them, and there weren’t enough cleaning supplies. Some plugs in the kitchen were coming out of their sockets, and the bedroom plugs were hazardous too. We drink coffee in the mornings, but it wasn’t replenished each day. There also weren’t enough mugs or glasses beyond what was in the rooms.

Other things were fine, but the service was poor. We waited almost 15 minutes for someone to attend to us, then another 15 minutes while they confirmed our accommodation with the agent. The worst part was having to park far from where we slept, then walk along the street carrying our bags. I really didn’t like that.
