The hotel is clean, smells pleasant and has a good location, with a direct entrance to Suncoast. But the price is far too high for what we got, and the location doesn't make up for it. Other hotels cost less and actually provide the bathtub shown in their listing. I booked this room on trip.com specifically for the bathtub shown in the photos, but our room had none. At reception, I was told trip.com had used the wrong pictures. The receptionist offered a room with a bathtub, but only if we paid extra. I declined. They'd made the mistake, so asking the customer to pay more was frustrating. There weren't any toothbrushes in the room. I requested two at reception, got one, and was told the other would be brought up later. It never arrived. Check-in was also a mess: I signed for room 327, but it wasn't ready. While we waited, we received key cards in an envelope marked with both 327 and 329, with a line through 327. We assumed 329 was our room, but the card wouldn't open it. It did open 327. While I was contacting trip.com's customer service from inside, someone else was able to open our door with their card. Reception later called and told us to stay in the room because they'd mixed things up. One floor was under construction. From upstairs it looked like an eyesore, with tiles removed and furniture still sitting there under dust. This stay was a huge disappointment and a waste of money.

We had a good time, and the staff were friendly and the rooms were good. The thin chiffon curtains looked lovely, but did little to block the morning light, even though ours was a sea view unit. There was also a lamp that seemed to stay on. Maybe we just couldn't find its switch, but I had to remove the room key to turn it off. That cut the power, so my phone didn't charge.

The views over the ocean are stunning, especially at sunrise, and the atmosphere feels calm while still being near the energy and entertainment at Suncoast. The room was spotless and thoughtfully designed, with a wonderfully comfortable bed that had me sleeping like a dream. I also noticed the fresh scent when entering and how well stocked and maintained everything was. From check-in onward, the stay felt easy and welcoming. The staff were genuinely warm and went out of their way to make things special. I loved my time at Suncoast Hotel and can't wait to return.

We had 10 guests, and it was quicker to go to the bar ourselves for drinks. The service was painfully slow even though the restaurant wasn't busy. The buffet was disappointing: a small selection, stale dessert, cold lamb and dishes that lacked flavour, especially the curries. Refilling took ages, and we had to ask for more crab because only the legs were left. We won't be back.

The breakfast buffet is pretty good, and the rooms are comfortable. Staff made us feel welcome. The hotel also has the amenities you'd need, including a small gym.
