The Parkview Hotel - Luxurious Suite

New owners have clearly put a lot of effort into this place, and it shows. It's a handy location with an off-street parking garage, and a good destination for travelers watching their budget. Pirates Arms has a superb restaurant and the best breakfast deal in town. Thatchers pub and grill is an old favorite.

I've lived in many hotels, and this is by far the worst. I've been a permanent resident here for over a year, and the service and hospitality are an embarrassment. Laundry is terrible: clothes go missing or come back ruined. Most of the room air conditioners don't work, and the location feels dangerous. There's a high chance of being robbed right outside the hotel door because the security guard is never at his post watching the entrance. You also don't want a maintenance problem. The maintenance team is incompetent. They've been working on my shower for almost a month, starting from scratch twice, and still can't get it right. I'm sharing some shower photos from the past month. I'd think twice before booking here.

We arrived at 21h00 to find the room still uncleaned, even though it had not been cleaned or sanitized in the previous 24 hours. The housekeeper only began cleaning once we got there. There was no manager on duty to answer our questions or help. When my wife went to use the bathroom, she found it dingy and filthy. The whole experience was awful.

The bathroom flooded for two days because the shower had no door, and there was no cleaning service during my stay. I also had to pay for parking the next morning, despite being told it was available and following all the required steps. They charged more than a lost-card penalty. Business should be transparent about things like this.
