No breakfast, no microwave in the rooms, no aircon, and no kettle, even in winter. The place was filthy, and the doors and windows weren't properly installed. The pictures online are old. I asked two men running the place to fix the TV in my room, but an hour later they still hadn't come. Meanwhile, guests outside were making a racket, and South African women were selling their bodies in the yard. The two men were busy with their young local girlfriends while they were supposed to be working. I'll post a video.

I booked two nights for work and messaged the owner or caretaker to let them know when I'd check in, but got no reply. I tried both phone numbers listed on this platform and couldn't reach anyone either. After finishing work around 17:00, I drove to the address and found a sign for Okuhle's guest house instead of Jay's guest house. I went in to check whether I was in the wrong place, and they said it was the right destination, but that Jay would only take over from them in January 2023. They asked me to cancel so I could get a refund, took down my details, and promised the money within 7 days. That was on 3 December 2022. By 17 December, nothing had arrived, and no one had contacted me. I ended up paying the overnight fare of R300, which meant paying for 3 nights when I stayed 1. The place was noisy and unclean, and people kept knocking on my door all night. I barely slept. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The kitchen was beautiful and made us feel at home. I also loved that all 3 bedrooms were clean and neat, each with its own TV, shower, and wifi. It worked really well for a weekend stay, and my mom, brother, and I felt welcome. Thanks, guys, and keep up the good work.

The service was really bad, and they don't seem to care about customers. Your stuff goes missing, and nobody knows where it is. Worst place ever.
