The Ridge Hotel

The rooms are spacious and spotless, and there’s lots of parking. Covered access makes it easy to reach the cinema and mall. I also thought the breakfast buffet and takeaway bags were really good. The evening buffet was the one letdown, average at best.

I was fine with the rooms and the staff service, but the food was a real problem. The buffet dining area reminded me of the less appealing American school lunch rooms on TV, and the food was below average. The menu restaurant wasn’t much better. I didn’t even try the chicken livers because they looked so dry, shrivelled and hard. I could tell I wouldn’t enjoy them. I tasted the sauce, though, and it was disappointing. It tasted like some unrelated sauce, not like chicken livers, and I doubt they were cooked in it. It left me wondering whether the people who own or manage the restaurants ever eat this food. If they cared about serving good meals, surely something would change. Something needs to be done.

I liked the place. It’s tidy and professional, though noise from the casino patrons carries at night.

The hotel is beautiful and so well placed. Step out of your room and everything you might need is just a few steps away. The service was amazing, and I loved staying here. The staff were on another level. Thank you, Vivian. Martin was a huge help and so humble.
