The RidgePoint Hotel

I checked out this morning from Room 117, and my breakfast and lunch packs were repeatedly not ready when requested. I have allergies, so I asked for fruit and a Jungle Oats dark chocolate snack bar. I said oats were fine if available, but the hotel didn’t need to worry about preparing them. I also asked for the packs to be ready by 06:30 for my schedule. On several days, including today, I waited past 07:00 and still got nothing, while other guests seemed able to collect their meals on time. It’s disappointing to feel guests with dietary needs aren’t getting equal consideration when the request is simple and clear. Today I signed for both packs but didn’t receive them. If the hotel can’t provide them reliably, I’d appreciate being told so I can make other arrangements.

The staff were friendly and caring, and the location is great, but the hotel needs some attention from management. The rooms were clean, though my mattress was old and bouncy, the shower didn’t drain, and hot water wasn’t always available. Meals booked through the hotel weren’t worth it. The food quality was poor, and room service came in a takeaway container with no cutlery, condiments or serviettes. Breakfast at the hotel was uninspired, just the bare minimum. There’s room for improvement.

We left after breakfast without showering, too tired to keep dealing with it. In room 431, the shower was blocked and the water ran onto the bathroom floor. We had booked for two adults and a child, but there weren’t enough towels or bedding. There were only two towels for the three of us, and we needed extra after using them to mop up the water. The beds weren’t made to hotel standard either. Mine had no sheet, just a blanket, a flat sheet and a duvet. We reported everything and requested towels through the WhatsApp line. The messages were read, but no one responded. It was a truly terrible stay. I won’t stay there again or encourage anyone I know to go.

The staff were friendly when I checked in on the first night, but the small details have been overlooked so far. My room wasn’t ready when I arrived, even though I checked in late. I wonder what would have happened if I’d turned up right at 2pm. There were no Wi-Fi instructions telling booked guests to select “day visitor.” There was no room menu either. I WhatsApped the number provided at 20:05 and got no reply. When I called, they said they’d send someone, but by 21:03 there was still no menu. I ended up ordering on Uber Eats before I got too hungry. Then I noticed the pillows I’m using have collapsed, and the spring mattress clearly needs replacing. We’ll see how day two goes, but that’s my honest feedback so far.
