West Street Inn - Ermelo

There’s a kitchen and braai area if you’d rather prepare your own food, and they provide extra blankets for winter. The rooms are clean and smell good. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast buffet has lots of variety. It’s the best buffet I’ve had so far at a small-town B&B.

Rhett Lawson, I have to disagree with you. I've been a regular guest at West Street for the past two years and have never seen an hourly room rate. That's a blatant lie, and this definitely isn't that kind of establishment. The shower floors are sealed with grey sealant or paint, so don't let your negativity confuse things. I've never had cleanliness problems in the rooms during those two years. I can't speak to your claims about the toilet, blankets or sheets, but staff are available around the clock and always go out of their way to keep guests happy. Why didn't you bring any of these allegations to the Night Manager's attention? If things were as you said, I'm sure they would have acted immediately.

We stayed at Wet Inn Ermelo from 5 January 2020 until checking out on 31 January 2020. It was peaceful, warm and friendly, in a lovely setting, and the price was reasonable. The rooms were beautiful and well maintained, and everyone from the gardener and waiters to the front-of-house staff was amazing. I’d recommend West Street Inn to couples and families. Bianca, the way you handled yourself when I first contacted the guesthouse is what made us consider booking. Christelle, thank you for the special touches and extras during our stay. You’re the best in Ermelo. We’ll definitely come back again and again.

I’ve enjoyed my stay, and the staff are lovely. The environment is clean and well maintained, and the generator has been quite helpful with the national loadshedding and cable theft in the area. The disappointing part was the food: over my month-long stay, its quality went downhill, even though it had impressed me at first.
