Maison Cabrière - Boutique Suites

Breakfast arrived on a tray in our room, and we ate on our private balcony overlooking the garden. There were fresh breads and pastries, fruit with yoghurt and granola, perfectly cooked eggs, freshly squeezed juice and coffee, all beautifully presented. We also enjoyed the complimentary afternoon snacks and a cocktail on the hotel terrace before heading to dinner at an excellent restaurant the manager recommended. After exploring Franschhoek village and the wine estates, relaxing by the pool was a treat. The recently renovated hotel looks and feels completely transformed, with beautifully decorated rooms and thoughtful details. The minibar was stocked with quality drinks and snacks. From arrival to departure, the staff were welcoming, friendly and keen to help, with excellent service throughout. This is the best hotel I've stayed at in the Winelands, and I'll never choose anywhere else on future visits to Franschhoek.

The breakfast was a letdown, which is why I gave service a 3. It comes to the room, but none of the food is covered and the hot dishes are cold by the time you eat. I'd rather have a dining room where you choose your food and order hot items to the table when you're ready. The toast was cheap sliced bread, not lovely artisan sourdough, which surprised me. We also missed the afternoon tea both days because nobody told us it was offered. That was a shame, so be sure to ask about the extras if you stay. The rooms themselves are incredible, stylish and comfortable, with stunning mountain views, and the staff are polite and helpful.

We spent two nights at Maison Cabrière and everything was exceptional. Brett's vision comes through in the stylish decor and luxurious furnishings, and the service is first class. Enrico and the rest of the team made our stay perfect. What an incredible place, I can't recommend it enough.

The pool area is something special, and you can tell a lot of thought went into making it a lovely space to enjoy. It's also within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Maison Cabrière made our day and night one to remember. The service was exceptional, the rooms had thoughtful touches, and the setting and decor throughout were stunning. Such a beautiful experience, thank you all.
